Hilltop Oasis Alpacas is located in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, situated on a hill top overlooking the majestic Sleeping Giant, in the harbour of Lake Superior. Our property encompasses 20 acres of primarily forested Canadian shield. Alpacas have adapted well to Canadian winters, and our terrain provides refreshing shade in the summer and a necessary wind break in the winter.
	Our part of the country gets a lot of sunshine and we try to utilize this to our advantage. We have built greenhouse shelters to protect our alpacas from the elements, using solar power as alternative energy. The alpacas love the sunlight in the shelter in the winter, and the shape of the greenhouses keeps the snow from accumulating on the roof.
We take pride in providing support and assistance to fellow alpaca enthusiasts. We have helped a number of farms with their startup and mentor fellow alpaca breeders through their first years of breeding, crias and alpaca care. We help design pasture layouts, fencing and shelters and offer shearing, breeding and boarding services.
